Drive onto motorway A7 towards Kiel/Flensburg and follow the course of the road for approx. 70 km. Change onto motorway A215 towards Bordesholm/Kiel and follow the course for the next 20 km. Exit at B202/B76 towards Lübeck/Ostuferhafen and stay onto federal motorway B76. Exit towards Ostuferhafen/Fachhochschule. Take the left lane to turn 180 degree (U turn) at the traffic light towards Schönberg/Laboe. Take the right lane to follow the street Theodor-Heuss-Ring. After 100 m turn right to the parking area of Rewe/SIXT.

Drive onto federal motorway B76 towards Kiel Zentrum. Exit to road B502 towards Laboe/Schönberg/Klaipeda/Ostuferhafen/Fähre/Zentrum. Drive straight ahead at the traffic light and take the right lane to follow the street Theodor-Heuss-Ring. After 100 m turn right to the parking area of Rewe/SIXT.

The airport building is currently closed due to the ceasing of the scheduled flights. Exit the airport and follow the signs towards road B503/Kiel Zentrum. After approx. 4 km turn right onto federal motorway B76 and stay there for the next 6 km. Exit towards Ostuferhafen/Fachhochschule. Take the left lane to turn 180 degree (U turn) at the traffic light towards Schönberg/Laboe. Take the right lane to follow the street Theodor-Heuss-Ring. After 100 m turn right to the parking area of Rewe/SIXT.

Walk of approx. 25 minutes. Leave the train station towards the waterside/Kaistraße. Turn right and follow the Kaistraße/Bahnhofstraße. Turn half right in front of the Schwedendamm and follow the Bahnhofstraße until the subway of federal road B76. Turn left, cross the street straight ahead and follow it until the parking area of Rewe/SIXT on the left handside.

The key return box is located to the right of the entrance to the SIXT branch.
