Sixt has an exceptionally diverse fleet of vehicles on offer when you reserve a Parchim International Airport car hire. While there's no guarantee that a specific model will be available, we certainly deliver when it comes to quality. As well as reliable compact cars, saloons and estates from the likes of Volkswagen, Ford and Opel, we have convertibles like the Masda MX-5 and Mercedes-Benz SLC to add an extra touch of glamour to your trip. On top of that, our rental packages include benefits such as free mileage and free cancellation as standard. As for optional extras, these run the gamut from child seats for customers travelling with young families to snow chains and ski racks for winter sports enthusiasts. We also have Sat Navs to help you plot efficient itineraries and additional driver coverage so you can share the experience of taking to the road in your Parchim International Airport car rental.
Parchim International Airport (often abbreviated to SZW) can be found in the Mecklenburg-West Pomerania district of Germany. It's 6 miles from Parchim, and Berlin and Hamburg are just over an hour's drive away on the A24 motorway. When you arrange a Parchim International Airport car hire with Sixt, your key and documentation will be waiting for you at the information terminal.
Once you've collected your Parchim International Airport car rental, you should take the time to drive through Parchim town centre, with its ancient timber-framed houses and colourful painted facades. Soon, though, you'll want to make the 30 mile trip to Schwerin. The highlight of this attractive city is Schwerin Palace, a fairy tale castle situated on an island on the lake of the same name. It mostly dates from the mid-19th century, but parts of it are much older. You won't want to miss its beautiful throne room, chapel and orangery - and keep an eye out for Little Peterman, the mischievous miniature ghost who is said to roam the hallways. While you're in Schwerin, you should drive around to the far side of Pfaffenteich Lake for a gorgeous view of the town's towering Gothic cathedral, and also fit in a visit to the State Art Museum, which has a collection of drawings by Durer, Cranach and other German old masters. And to get the full benefit of your Parchim International Airport car hire, the ancient university town of Rostock on the Baltic sea makes an excellent day excursion.
