Driving Rules in Panama
When driving abroad it is important to follow the rules of the road to ensure your safety. Here are some of the important regulations to note:
- In order to organise a car rental here drivers must be at least 21 years old and have held their licence for a full year
- In Panama you drive on the right
- Drivers must carry their licence, insurance paperwork and car hire documentation whenever they are in the vehicle
- Speed limits are 50 kmh in cities and 80kmh outside cities
