Good to know when renting in Skopje
You must be at least 21 with a driver’s license held for 2 years for a SIXT rental in North Macedonia. Some car categories require renters to be 25, and a young driver surcharge applies to those under 23.
You will need a valid driver’s license held for at least 2 years and an ID card. Foreign renters will also need a passport and international driving permit.
Rentals between stations in North Macedonia are allowed, and most are free of charge. International one-way rentals from Skopje are allowed for some countries, depending on the tariff.
